Joe joined Gray, Gray & Gray in 1986, and quickly earned the respect of his peers and the trust of clients, who saw in him not just an accountant, but a confidant and advisor. He was elected a Partner in 1992.

Among Joe’s signature contributions to Gray, Gray & Gray was his tenure as Managing Partner from 2008-2017, during which he led the firm through a period of steady growth and expansion. Under his stewardship, the firm embraced innovation, diversifying services beyond the traditional audit and tax practices to include advisory, M&A, and wealth management services. 

Joe was a leader in several practice areas, including restaurants, hospitality, and our nationally recognized energy group. He served as the Managing Member of FuelExchange, LLC™, the merger & acquisition clearinghouse established by Gray, Gray & Gray to bring together buyers and sellers of heating oil and propane companies. Joe continues to consult with FuelExchange clients to help them identify the best synergies within the energy industry.

A native of Italy, Joe earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and a graduate degree in taxation from Bentley College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, MassCPAs, and the Sons of Italy Foundation.
